Long before the recording of time there was a battle in the havens. Banished to earth by the Creator and striped of their glory for their betrayal, the leader was sealed away and the followers were cast to the earth. These castaways were known as the Fallen.

Some of the Fallen plot to free their leader and others seek repentance. They seek to once again find grace in the Creator’s eyes by tending to the earth and watching over the people. Over time some of the Fallen had mixed with humans. This mixture created unpredictable mutations in their offspring.  Most of them became wild and were hunted others were able to blend into humanity breeding out their Fallen decent.

Thousands of years later some of the Fallen who sought acceptance from the Creator began to lose their way. One such Fallen was Ananse, who began to lose his mind and began to torment the people he wanted to protect. Ananse now known by the people as the spider god and trickster would grant people who were foolish enough to ask him for help their whishes but a twisted corrupt form of their wish. One such wish was made by a young woman and panther who wished to be like each other. The spider god turned them both into twisted cat people. Seeking a cure they went to the Dwa-ba a witch woman who too was once cursed by Ananse. The Dwa-ba created a covenant between the cat people forming the first beast clan. Many generations later the beast clan members had breed once again into humanity until the day Akumi was born.
